  • Why does Scotland remind me of home??  The Central Pangean Mountains were formed by the collision between the minor supercontinents of Laurussia and Godwana during the formation of Pangaea in the Triassic period.  Remnants of this massive mountain range include the Appalachian Mountains of North America, the Little Atlas of Morocco, Africa, and the Scottish Highlands.
